The “550 mailbox quota exceeded error” is triggered when the email account is full.
Once this occurs, any further incoming emails are rejected by the server and returned to the sender.
As standard, each email account is allocated 500MB of storage. This allows approximately 500 emails to be stored in your mailbox (including subfolders).
To free up space and allow further incoming messages, you can perform the following tasks:
- Empty your ‘Junk’, ‘Spam’ and ‘Trash’ folders of unwanted emails.
- Save important emails to your computer or hard drive and then delete them from your mailbox see video tutorial.
- Request an increase to your email quota – available in 500MB increments (extra charges apply).
